COVID-19 situation continues to put lives at risk every day and it’s more complicated when people now vaccinated can still spread the virus without even know it. This is a really difficult and complicated time and we appreciate your support and patience in adhering to our policies.

Please know that we continue to respect any updates from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and local and state health departments in order to find the best way to keep our residents safe.

TOURS

Casa Shattuck Senior Care offers scheduled tours, as allowed by state and local health department guidelines. To schedule a tour, you have to make an appointment by calling at 503-764-7963.

VISITATION GUIDELINES:

All visitors must:

  • Sign-in at the entrance and be screened upon entering the house for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 per the CDC

  • Clean your hands upon arrival and before leaving. We have hand sanitizer for your convenience and use.

  • Wear a mask at all times while entering and moving throughout the house. If you don’t have a mask, don’t worry! We’re glad to provide one. Per Governor Brown and OHA, everyone in Oregon age 5 and up (age 2 and up where tolerated) is required to wear a mask when in indoor settings whether vaccinated or not.

  • Social distance at least six feet between other residents and staff working.

  • Follow instructional signage throughout the community.

  • Go directly to the resident’s room or the designated visitation area

  • Let know the owner the time and day of their visit in order to organize the visitor traffic at the same time. Flattening the curve and reducing the spread of COVID-19 refers definitely at reducing contact with others. That’s why we continue to limit the number of visitors at the same time in our facility.

Yesterday we had a funny and beautiful day. We didn't want to miss this opportunity to celebrate in an Irish style, have a little fun and to get a little silly as well. Everyone is Irish on St. Patty's Day. And who isn't a little Irish on this day? So we got out our green gear and we celebrated like the Leprechauns. Our residents enjoyed a special dinner (our favorite Irish traditional Shepard's pie, Spinach pancakes, Irish soda bread) and off course a very entertaining live music. They even tried their best dance and they did it. As Jimmy Dean said "You gotta try your luck at least once a day, because you could be going around lucky all day and not even know it".

P.S. We thank you, Joe (The Accordion Man) for giving so much joy and smile to our residents!!!
